Large-scale Delivery of 1619.32T API 5CT L80-1 BC Casing | Oman Oilfield Project

Our company has completed the full delivery of high-quality API 5CT seamless casing for KINGDOO CORPORATION LTD, a key oilfield operator in Oman. The total supply reaches 1,619.32 tons, including 244.48mm OD casing in two wall thickness of 11.99mm and 9.19mm, featuring L80-1 sour service steel grade and BC buttress thread.

As premium sour-resistant OCTG products, L80-1 BC casing is widely used for well drilling, borehole stabilization and cementing operations. All pipes are manufactured in strict accordance with API 5CT international standards, fully adapted to complex and corrosive downhole conditions across Oman’s onshore oilfields.

Project Challenge

1.Dual-wall Specification Control: The order covers two wall thickness options (11.99mm & 9.19mm) for the 244.48mm OD casing. Mixed-spec production posed challenges in categorized manufacturing and strict quality sorting to eliminate specification errors during delivery. 2.Strict Sour-resistance Standard: Oman’s onshore wells contain hydrogen sulfide. The L80-1 casing required rigid chemical composition control and stable mechanical properties to withstand corrosive downhole environments and avoid stress cracking. 3.High-precision BC Thread Machining: BC buttress thread requires high-standard sealing and tensile capacity. Precise thread processing and surface protection are necessary to prevent thread damage and ensure seamless field running. 4.Complicated Export Logistics: The 1619.32-ton large-volume cargo demanded scientific production scheduling and container allocation, to ensure on-time shipment and hassle-free customs clearance for Oman destination.

1.Categorized Production & QC: Separate production procedures and exclusive marking strategies were applied for two wall-thickness casings. Comprehensive sampling inspection was conducted to comply with API 5CT dimensional standards. 2.Customized Sour-resistant Material: Premium qualified raw materials and optimized heat treatment were adopted. The finished pipes maintain balanced hardness and toughness, delivering stable performance in H₂S-containing corrosive wells. 3.Optimized BC Thread Processing: Adopted advanced CNC threading technology for accurate BC thread fabrication.
