Successful Supply of API 5CT Casing for EGPC Drilling Project in Egypt

We have successfully delivered a full set of API 5CT seamless oil casing products to the Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation (EGPC), supporting critical drilling, wellbore stabilization and cementing operations in Egypt. The project covers three key casing specifications with a total supply of approximately 500 tons (17,500 feet), fully meeting the customer’s on-site drilling requirements and international quality standards.

Project Challenge

1. Wide specification range and high matching requirements: Three casing sizes with large span, requiring precise batch matching and consistent delivery to ensure on-site assembly efficiency. 2. Strict local preferences for thread connections and steel grades: Egypt has clear requirements for coupling types and material performance, demanding high anti-slip and sealing performance. 3. Tight delivery schedule and complicated ocean transportation coordination: Balancing production scheduling and shipping arrangements to ensure on-time arrival at the Egyptian port.

Our Solution

1. Adopted R3 uniform length to reduce on-site connections and improve running efficiency. 2. Applied BTC threaded connections (BTC for L801) to meet local preferences and ensure excellent sealing and anti-slip performance. 3. Optimized production planning and shipping arrangement to guarantee on-time delivery, complete customs clearance and smooth port reception. 4. Provided qualified MTC, API certificates and professional anti-corrosion packaging, achieving full customer recognition on product consistency, documentation and service.
