Successful Delivery of X60Q Grade Line Pipe for Algeria Oil & Gas Pipeline Project

We successfully supplied high-quality API 5L X60Q line pipes to Primex Steel Trading GmbH for an onshore oil and gas pipeline project in Algeria. The total supply quantity reached 2498.86 metric tons of carbon steel line pipes for energy transmission construction.

This bulk pipeline project features X60Q grade line pipes with 406.4mm outer diameter and two common wall thickness specifications: 11.13mm and 14.27mm. As professional oil and gas steel pipes, X60Q seamless/welded line pipes feature great weldability, stable mechanical performance and excellent low-temperature toughness. They perfectly fit Algeria’s harsh terrain and volatile climate to support long-distance, long-term gas & oil transportation. Project Challenge

The project posed multiple technical and logistical challenges during implementation: 1.Strict Technical Requirements: All X60Q pipes must pass tensile, impact and hydrostatic pressure tests. Unified material performance of two specifications was required for smooth pipe assembly. 2.Tough Cross-border Logistics: Complex customs procedures and remote construction sites in Algeria increased difficulties for bulk pipe transportation and storage. 3.Tight Delivery Timeframe: We needed to deliver pipes in batches as scheduled to match the client’s fixed construction progress and avoid project delays. 4.High Environmental Adaptability: Pipes needed strong corrosion and stress resistance to adapt to Algeria’s arid environment, rocky terrain and large day-night temperature differences.
