P50 / R50 rail is a widely used medium-heavy flat-bottom rail designed for 1520mm broad gauge railway systems, manufactured strictly in accordance with GOST 51685 specification. It is a cost-effective rail solution between light rail and heavy-duty P65 rail.
With stable dimensional accuracy and good comprehensive mechanical performance, P50/R50 rail is highly compatible with standard rail fasteners, sleepers and fishplates for broad-gauge tracks. The dominant steel grade is U71Mn, featuring stable metallurgical structure, reliable weldability and low comprehensive maintenance cost. It is extensively selected for regional branch railways, industrial dedicated lines, marshalling yards and medium-volume freight transport projects across Russia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and other CIS & Central Asian countries.
