Standard seamless pipe size specification table

IMRI Steel offers seamless pipes in standard sizes, mainly used in the oil and gas industry, automotive and engineering industries. This is the most common and widely used product and comes in different sizes and thicknesses.

Indicates the inch pipe wall thickness series: Sch.20—-full name: Schedule 20Sch.10s–series with s is dedicated to stainless steel, not carbon steel. For example: 2″ sch.10s means that the wall thickness of the 2″ pipe is 2.9mm, and the material is stainless steel; 2″ sch.40 means that the wall thickness of the 2″ pipe is 4.0mm.

By the way, let’s talk about the expression method of the wall thickness of the steel pipe:
There are three ways to express the wall thickness of the steel pipe: the pipe table number, the size of the steel pipe wall thickness and the weight of the pipe

1) The wall thickness is indicated by the pipe number “Sch”. The tube number is the ratio of the design pressure of the tube to the allowable stress of the material at the design temperature multiplied by 1000, and the value after rounding. Namely: Sch=P/[σ]t×1000 ANSI B36.10 wall thickness grades: Sch10, Sch20, Sch30, Sch40, Sch60, Sch80, Sch100, Sch120, Sch140, Sch160 ten grades; ANSI B36.19 wall thickness grades : Four grades: Sch5s, Sch10s, Sch40s, Sch80s;

2) The wall thickness of the steel pipe is used to represent some steel pipe standards in China, ISO and Japan. 3) The wall thickness of the pipe is represented by the weight of the pipe. Tube, denoted by XS c. Extra thick tube, denoted by XXS. For pipes with DN≤250mn, Sch40 is equivalent to STD, for pipes with DN<200mm, Sch80 is equivalent to XS.
